The 2019 Joint CICER and EMI Emerging Markets Research Day was held on Friday, April 19 from 8:30 to 5:00pm in B10 Sage Hall.

This workshop was co-hosted by CICER (Shanjun Li, Co-Director; Panle Jia Barwick, Co-Director and Will Tay)and EMI and featured research presentations and panel discussions with prominent scholars on critical issues in emerging markets. It serves as a platform for researchers, faculty and Ph.D. students who are interested in sharing knowledge, presenting their research and ideas, and getting feedback from their peers.

The Cornell Institute for China Economic Research (CICER) brings together scholars from Cornell and elsewhere to conduct cutting-edge economic research and understand the most important socio-economic issues in China and their global impact. The Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) provides thought leadership on the role of emerging markets – and emerging market multinationals – in the global economy.
