Request a mentor
When you reach out to a prospective mentor, it’s important to remember that they have graciously offered their time, for free, to help you with whatever issues you’re looking to explore during your interaction with one another. Time is a valuable asset and, like all of us, our mentors have an abundance of opportunities in which to invest theirs. As such, it’s important to engage them in an organized and professional manner. This starts with respecting their time from the beginning, and showing them how you will amplify a small amount of it to generate value through your own hard work.
