Biography
James Minas is a lecturer of operations, technology, and information management in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He has taught and developed courses in a variety of business analytics topics including spreadsheet modeling, optimization, machine learning, statistical modeling, and decision analysis. His research focus is the use of analytics methods to gain insights into complex business problems. Application areas he has worked on include disaster response, supply chain resilience, and contract design. His research has appeared in outlets such as Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, and Journal of the Operational Research Society.
