If you’re interested in earning a graduate business degree with a truly global vision, the Cornell Executive MBA Americas program could be a good fit for you. While you may be aware of the Americas program, you may not realize the extent of its global footprint, including its student body, curriculum, and faculty.
Johnson delivers this academic program in partnership with the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Located in Kingston, Ontario, the Smith School of Business is widely recognized as Canada’s leading school of management. Unlike online degree programs, distance learning classes in the EMBA Americas program are conducted live via multi-point videoconferencing to classrooms in more than 20 major cities throughout North and South America. Spanning the hemisphere, this program gives working professionals the opportunity to study with peers from other countries and cultures. During a typical class session, it is not unusual to debate a case study or discuss a class project alongside professionals from Calgary, Boston, Lima, and Mexico City.
As part of their studies, student teams complete a global business project in an international country of their choosing. To complete this “living case study,” teams collaborate with global enterprise leaders in a consultancy capacity. Students conduct field research prior to developing a detailed business action plan. The global project provides a unique opportunity to test business skills and knowledge in an international environment. With faculty and students originating from countries around the world, the Executive MBA Americas mid-level business leaders learn skills to catapult their careers in an interdependent and interconnected world. Classes are conducted every other Saturday and Sunday to accommodate busy professionals.
