Biography

Gabriele Piccoli is associate professor of information systems at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. His research, teaching, and consulting expertise is in strategic information systems and the use of network technology to support customer service.

Piccoli's research has appeared in MIS Quarterly, MIS Quarterly Executive, Communications of the ACM, Decision Sciences Journal, Harvard Business Review, The DATABASE for Advances in Information Systems, The Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, as well as other academic and applied journals. He is an associate editor at MIS Quarterly and he serves on the editorial board of The Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly.

Earlier in his career, Piccoli was an adjunct professor of information systems at Tulane University and an instructor at Louisiana State University. He received his PhD in business administration, with emphasis in MIS, from Louisiana State University.
