Jiacen Ma, MBA ’19, MPS-RE ’20

Jiacen Ma, MBA ’19, is currently a master’s student in the Baker Program in Real Estate at the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Prior to her MBA studies in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Jiacen worked as a senior asset manager at the state-owned Capital Operation and Management Center of Beijing, a government investment fund. As a representative of the government shareholder, she participated in the decision-making process of the fund’s board. She also worked independently on an office-building development project, leading the asset-management team to manage the real assets. At Cornell, she was a portfolio manager for the real estate sector in the Cayuga Fund, a hedge fund run by MBA students. Upon graduation, Jiacen hopes to pursue a career in investment and asset management focusing on real estate.
