Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA)

Cornell’s MSBA features a 30-credit curriculum delivered in one of two formats: Online+ (part-time over 16 months) or NYC (full-time in 10 months). In both formats, students take a shared set of core courses and choose electives to build a concentration in finance analytics, marketing analytics, operations and supply chain analytics or business analytics.

Overview

Cornell’s STEM-certified Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program is designed to uniquely prepare working professionals seeking to build a career in analytics with the skills that employers desire most: a comprehensive understanding of the language and concepts of business, strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to apply the tools of data science to real problems and real data through program concentrations.

An AI-focus

Many MSBA courses integrate AI tools and techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing and predictive modeling, ensuring students develop advanced skills to meet modern business demands.

Capstone project

Over the course of the program, each student completes a capstone project that addresses a real-world problem in their chosen concentration using a large-scale data set and analysis tools from the coursework, working with an industry practitioner in the field of analytics.
